BROWNLIE CHIROPRACTIC
Founded in 1973
Dr. Arlo Brownlie founded Brownlie Chiropractic in February of 1973. After graduating Palmer College of Chiropractic – the Fountainhead of the profession — in 1972, he moved his young family from Davenport, Iowa to Prescott, Arizona. With the help of his wife, Marlys, he set up his first practice inside their small downtown apartment on Cortez Street. One year later he moved his practice to Montezuma Street, and in 1985 he purchased the current location, where he continued to practice until 2017. After also attending Palmer College of Chiropractic, two of Dr. Arlo’s four children joined his practice: Dr. Sabrina Anderson in 1997 and Dr. Glenn Brownlie in 1999.
Founded on the belief that every patient should be treated the same way that the doctor himself would like to be treated, we give each patient the time and attention that they deserve. Your concerns will be our top priority; that is, the symptoms and conditions that you present with will be carefully diagnosed and treated to the best of our ability. We choose to keep our methods simple and effective, and we will do our best to resolve your concerns in the shortest amount of time possible. If we feel that we cannot effectively treat a patient, we will let them know and give them the appropriate recommendations and/or referrals. We will never force continued care on our patients. We genuinely care for each patient and will not take advantage of their patronage; therefore, we keep our overhead low and do not pass on the cost of expensive equipment and assets to our patients. We are a family business honored to care for your family!
Although now retired, Dr. Arlo still loves to drop in to the office to say hello and visit with his long-time former patients. In his retirement, he enjoys babysitting his granddaughter and daily walks around the downtown area. Marlys continues to be the office manager of Brownlie Chiropractic. She enjoys sewing and cooking in her free time.
